I live on Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem. From my balcony the street unfolds below.
I see a pair of street cleaners operating a noisy machine, students on their way to Bezalel, a homeless person spending the night on a bench.
I also see teenagers throwing firecrackers at night, soldiers, policemen and the demonstrations that gather me up from my apartment.
My works emerge from a blurred sensation: being held within the safety of the domestic interior, while knowing without question that violence is raging outside.
